About the club

CURIOUS MINDS.
COMMON GROUND.

For Carlmont students who want to understand what flies—and what makes it work.

Our purpose

MAKE THE HOBBY
MORE APPROACHABLE.

Carlmont Drone Club is for students, run by students. Our purpose is to share the drone hobby, introduce the fundamental components of an aircraft, and promote responsible flying.

A drone brings together mechanical design, electronics, software, and piloting. It is a place to connect ideas from the classroom with questions you can hold in your hands.

Whether you are interested in how an aircraft is built or how it is controlled, bring that curiosity. There is always something new to understand.

How we approach the hobby

THE WAY WE WORK MATTERS.

01

STAY CURIOUS.

Ask the next question. Look beyond the finished aircraft to understand the choices behind it.

02

SHARE THE KNOW-HOW.

A clear explanation, a useful diagram, or a small discovery can help someone else take a big step.

03

THINK RESPONSIBLY.

Respect people, equipment, and the places where we fly. Learn the rules before planning a flight.

04

KEEP IMPROVING.

Notice what worked. Understand what changed. A good question can be as valuable as a successful result.

Ideas worth bringing to the table

FROM COMPONENTS
TO POSSIBILITIES.

Topics to explore with the club, shaped by student interests and what we can learn together.

THE AIRFRAME

Why this shape? Why this material? Look at frame layouts, component placement, and the balance between strength and weight.

THE CONNECTIONS

Follow power and signals through the aircraft. Explore the components that turn a pilot's input into a coordinated response.

THE FLIGHT

Discuss controls, preparation, and responsible operation. Understand the aircraft—and the decisions that happen before takeoff.

CARLMONT ROOTS.
A FLIGHT OF OUR OWN.

A familiar “C.” A new set of wings. Our proposed emblem builds on the circular mark and horizontal bars of Carlmont Business, with a quadcopter and swept aviation lines made for Drone Club.

School navy anchors the identity. Sky blue points to what comes next. The result is an original mark designed to work on a website, a sticker, or a club shirt.
